An extrodinary evening it was the past Friday evening. Christian and I set up Camp Helderman in the back yard. The weather was dry and hot. And the mood just right for our first ever camping adventure. We built a pretty good fire. No one called and complained so I think we kept the fire as low key as you can on a city block surrounded by houses. We cooked hot dogs and smores and retired the evening with a couple of books and two rounds of Uno. Christian fell asleep very quickly around 10pm. I tossed and turned for a couple of hours trying to weed out all the noises of loud radios and a great deal of noise from the Main Street cruisers. About 2:30pm Christian woke up and started looking around. I could tell he was not comfortable due to the lack of breeze and the heat. So we decided to come in and spend the rest of the night in the house. It was a great time. I know Beth put up a few pictures I put some up myself. We had a great time and hope to do it again soon.
